Born in the middle of the 19th century in Catalonia, Freixenet quickly became the world’s leading Cava brand.

With a 20 years presence in France, Freixenet is an undisputed benchmark for sparkling wines. The brand offers a wide range of wines including Cavas, a Prosecco, a non-alcoholic sparkling wine, and even still wines. Thanks to its Barcelona roots, Freixenet has managed to win over the hearts of the French, and is one of the favourite brands of the 18-45 age bracket. The brand conveys the “Barcelona state of mind’ on a daily basis and celebrates moments, both past and present.

Freixenet Cava

Made using the traditional method, Cava is an accessible sparkling wine with fruity notes that express the Catalan terroir.

Cava is a Spanish sparkling wine made in the Catalonia region, a few miles from Barcelona. It is made by blending Spain’s three main grape varieties: Parellada, Macabeo and Xarel.lo. The wine is made to the specifications of the traditional method (fermentation in the bottle). Also known as the “méthode champenoise”, this process is done for a minimum of 9 months.

Cava has the Spanish appellation ‘Denominacion de Origen’ (DO) or ‘Denomination of Origin’ which guarantees the quality of the wine. Fruity, vibrant and expressive, this sparkling wine is perfect as an aperitif or in a cocktail such as a Sangria Blanca.
